DESCRIPTION:

    To assist professionals in the development and implementation of a constructive alternative room and in-school disciplinary program. To facilitate and supplement the educational process under the direction of a professional staff member.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications include but not limited to:  high school diploma plus at least 2 years additional education; minimum of two years experience in education, human services or related field; ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents and school staff; Training or experience with behavior management and de-escalation techniques; Proficient in the use of computers; Other such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

SALARY:

- As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Paraeducators of the Burlington School District.

- Health and life insurance benefits are available for this position after a period of 45 working days.  Dental benefits available after 1 full working year.
