The Burlington School District is seeking an interim High School Assistant Principal who assists the school principal in providing direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of educational activities of the school environment guided by the District’s mission, vision and strategic goals. This interim position is for the 24-25 school year. 

 

The Assistant Principal plays an integral role in the establishment and maintenance of a school climate that is conducive to learning, including overseeing the enforcement of school rules and regulations, and the implementation of disciplinary measures when deemed necessary.  The Assistant Principal serves as part of the assigned school’s administrative team; oversees the administration of school programs and the implementation of policies; provides supervision and evaluation services; and plans, organizes and evaluates services for professional and non-professional personnel including an array of staff development activities, meetings, and instructional opportunities.

  

JOB GOAL: To use leadership, organizational, supervisory and management skills to provide effective and efficient daily operation of the school including oversight of several departments, grade levels of students, and student activities.
