Burlington School District is seeking a passionate and energetic middle school 7/8 Grade Humanities Teacher to join a school committed to high levels of achievement for all students at Lyman C. Hunt Middle School. This position requires teaming with other Hunt Middle School teachers in history, geography, and literature classes. Key components of this job include creating and maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment where mutual trust and respect can foster with students from all backgrounds and abilities. They will adhere to state curriculum standards, and collect and report on correct and detailed records of student performance. The ideal candidate will create, organize, and implement meaningful and engaging lessons/instructional programs for diverse groups of students in a middle school level learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential, as well as help them develop their character, personality, and social and emotional skills.
